COSTA RICA

Costa Rica has a territory of only 51 thousand square kilometers, bordering at north with Nicaragua and at south with Panama, surrounded by both the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans.
Although not a wealthy nation in comparison to some other Latin American countries, Costa Rica is well developed.
Roads, electricity and telephones reach throughout the countryside.
Costa Rica is Central America's special jewel for his great natural beauties.

The Costa Rica government has declared National Park or Biological Reserve about the 12% of the territory, making the country one of the best places to experience the tropics naturally and with minimal impact.
But Costa Rica is much more than an ecotourism heaven. Not surprisingly for a country which is mostly coastline, Costa Rica has some of the region's best surfing and beaches both on the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean.

The Caribbean coast is about 200 km (130 miles) long, noted for its variety of marine ecosystems and its beautiful white and black sand beaches.
The Pacific coastline - 1000 km (650 miles) - is rocky and jagged, with some of Costa Rica's most famous beaches and the best places for surfing, snorkeling and diving. Guanacaste is the most tourist developed region.

Costa Rica is a tropical country with a dry season and a wet season.
The late-December to mid-April dry season is the most pleasant.
Throughout the country temperatures remain nearly constant all year, with an average in the 70s; on the coasts temperatures are between 75 and 85.

Costa Rican people, known as “Ticos”, have a reputation for being friendly with a strong sense of national pride.
The official language is Spanish.
International flights to San José and Liberia (Guanacaste) International airports.
Good connections with US, Canada and several Latin America countries.
